Huge congratulations to Mrs. Anderson for being named a Literacy Champion at the Road to the Final Four- NCAA Fan Jam! What an incredible honor and so well deserved. Mrs. Anderson pours her heart into literacy every single day at BES. She believes in our kids, she believes in the power of reading, and she works tirelessly to make sure students grow in confidence and skill. Whether it is building strong foundational skills, encouraging a love for books, or supporting her teammates with strategies and resources, she leads the way. Her impact goes far beyond one event or one classroom. She is helping shape readers, thinkers, and leaders. That is Brave Way work right there. We are so proud of you, Mrs. Anderson. Thank you for working hard, being nice, and showing our students what it means to believe in themselves. BES is better because of you.

Congratulations to Mrs. McClure on being named Jackson County Co-Elementary Teacher of the Year! This recognition is so well deserved. Mrs. McClure represents everything we believe in at BES. She works hard, builds strong relationships, and always puts students first. Her classroom is a place where kids are challenged, supported, and encouraged to be their very best. We are proud to call her one of our own. Thank you, Mrs. McClure, for the difference you make each day for our students, our school, and all of Jackson County. Very deserving.

BES Students of the Month – February We are excited to celebrate our February Students of the Month at Brownstown Elementary! These students were recognized by their teachers for going above and beyond in the classroom! Not just in one area, but in the way they represent the total package of what it means to be a Brave. At BES, we believe in the Brave Way! Work Hard. Be Nice. We Can Do Hard Things. These students model that every single day. They are leaders in their classrooms, positive influences in the hallways, and examples of what strong character looks like.

WJAA Student of the Week! Congratulations to Ruger from Mrs. Shelton’s 3rd grade class for being named WJAA Student of the Week! Ruger represents what it means to be a Brownstown Brave. He works hard in the classroom, shows respect to his teachers and classmates, and brings a positive attitude each day. We are proud of the effort he continues to give and the example he sets for others. Keep it up, Ruger!

Little Brave of the Month – February

Congratulations to Landon in Mrs. Turner’s class for being our February Little Brave of the Month!

Landon has shown excellent effort, a willingness to help others, and strong character each day at BES. He works hard, stays focused, and sets a great example for his classmates. Landon is always ready to lend a hand and does the right thing even when no one is watching.

We are proud of you, Landon. Keep working hard, being nice, and showing us what the Brave Way is all about!

We are excited to share that Mrs. Amy Hehman will be transitioning at the end of this school year from her role as a 2nd grade teacher to serve as our Little Braves Academy Pre-K Instructor.

Mrs. Hehman brings valuable experience working with students in 2nd grade and lower grade levels. She understands what it takes to build strong foundations in literacy, routines, relationships, and confidence at an early age.

As we continue laying the groundwork for Little Braves Academy, we are excited for Amy to help lead our youngest learners. She is eager for this new challenge and ready to pour into our Little Braves from the very start of their school journey.

Let’s congratulate Mrs. Hehman as she begins this new chapter with our Little Braves.

💖✨ What. A. Night! ✨💖 Our first-ever BES Little Sweethearts Dance was truly unforgettable! Students danced their hearts out, played games, ate pizza and snacks, and enjoyed a magical evening with their mothers, fathers, and loved ones. 💃🕺💕 The joy, smiles, and sweet memories made it a total success—and so much fun from start to finish! Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make this night so special. 💗 We can’t wait to do it again! 🌟
