We Can Do Hard Things!
All of these students showed growth in Mrs. Reynolds’ classroom on Checkpoint 2, and that is something to be proud of. Growth doesn’t always come easy, but these kids kept working, stayed focused, and didn’t give up when learning felt hard.
This is what happens when students believe in themselves, put in the effort, and have a teacher who pushes them while supporting them every step of the way. Way to go, Mrs. Reynolds and students. Keep believing. Keep working. We can do hard things.

Brave Pride Moment!
Huge shoutout to Mrs. Hehman and her class for creating The Brave Way Book in class and completely surprising Mr. Young with a copy. What a special moment.
Each student wrote about their year so far and shared how they are learning that they can do hard things. Their words showed growth, effort, perseverance, and heart. This is exactly what The Brave Way looks like in action students reflecting, believing in themselves, and taking pride in their learning.
Mrs. Hehman has done an amazing job building a classroom where students feel supported, encouraged, and confident to share their stories. BES is so proud of these kiddos and the hard work they are putting in each day. Keep being brave and keep believing in yourself.

BES Christmas Fun!

The students at Brownstown Elementary School truly showed what kindness, generosity, and community look like by collecting an incredible 8,987 items for the Christmas Cheer food drive!
A huge congratulations to 5th grade, our winning grade level, who brought in an amazing 4,879 cans of food on their own! One of our 5th grade students, Tatum Kidd, and her family donated a total of 4,224 cans of food. What an outstanding example of teamwork, leadership, and giving back.
